Position summary

 

Sitting within the London-based Risk Management team, you’ll report into senior leadership and act as a trusted adviser across the firm. This is a broad, advisory role with an international dimension, including a particular focus on offices in Dubai and Ireland.


You’ll work closely with partners, fee earners, and business services teams to ensure compliance, mitigate risk, and continuously enhance the firm’s approach to governance.

 

Position responsibilities

 

  • Advise on a wide range of professional conduct, regulatory, and risk management issues across the firm.
  • Support the Head of Risk and Director of Risk (COLP) in meeting regulatory requirements across UK and international offices.
  • Review and update engagement terms, policies, and risk frameworks to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Deliver training and guidance to lawyers and business teams on risk-related matters.

 

Experience, skills and qualifications

 

  • Qualified lawyer with experience in risk and compliance within an international or City law firm.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks affecting legal practitioners across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to influence and challenge senior stakeholders constructively.
  • Commercially minded, with the ability to provide pragmatic, solution-focused advice under pressure.
