As Resource Allocation Manager, you'll lead the day-to-day deployment of lawyers across our Corporate practice, ensuring client demand is met, utilisation remains strong, and our people have access to the work they need to develop and succeed.
Working closely with partners, Talent, Finance and Business Development, you'll stay ahead of pipeline demands, resolve capacity challenges before they impact delivery, and make commercially sound staffing decisions that keep the business moving.

This is a role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys balancing competing priorities, and can combine data, commercial judgement and strong stakeholder management to deliver results.

Position responsibilities

  • Take ownership of lawyer allocation across the practice, making confident resourcing decisions that balance client needs, utilization targets and development opportunities.
  • Anticipate capacity pressures, identify gaps before they impact delivery, and work with partners to solve resourcing challenges quickly and effectively.
  • Analyze utilization, pipeline and forecast data to provide clear recommendations that support profitability and business performance.
  • Strengthen and evolve resource management processes, embedding efficient ways of working and increasing adoption of resource management tools across the firm.

Experience, skills, and qualifications

  • Experience working within a law firm or professional services environment, ideally in resource management, workforce planning or operational management.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, challenge constructively, and drive decisions in a fast-moving environment.
  • Strong commercial judgement with the analytical skills to turn utilization and capacity data into practical business action.
  • Highly organized and resilient, with the ability to manage competing priorities, solve problems quickly and deliver results under pressure.
